EI + G.A.P. · Lesson 4 of 4

G.A.P. Clarity: Growth, Awareness, Practice

Growth is who you are becoming — your potential beyond current habits, guided by purpose and vision.

Awareness is what you can see — self-awareness of your inner world and social awareness of your impact on others.

Practice is what you do with what you know — intentional behavior change, emotional regulation and relationship skills, applied daily.

Awareness without practice is insight. Practice without awareness is habit. Together, they become growth.

Why it matters

G.A.P. is the conversion engine: it turns understanding into behavior, and behavior into a different person.

In practice

  • You know you interrupt (awareness), so you count to three before responding for thirty days (practice), and become someone people finish sentences around (growth).

Your reflection

Write your own G.A.P. line: I am aware that ___. I will practice ___. I am becoming ___.
